    At InBolt we are developing a breakthrough tracking technology based on 3D vision. Our solution is a small sensor / hardware device that can track the position of the object it is attached on with a millimeter accuracy.

    One of our first use cases is the tracking of industrial hand tools when in use. This allows us to perform real-time quality control of manual operations (drilling, riveting, welding). We are also currently working on a 3D-based solution for robotic arm & AGV guidance.

    Our story:
    We are 3 former students, respectively from Supaéro/Ecole Polytechnique, ENS and HEC. In September 2018, we met during the X-HEC master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and discovered that manual processes are a $45bn problem for manufacturing industries. As we started developing a solution, we quickly realized that our tracking technology had an incredible potential!

    Since the start of the journey, InBolt has filed 2 patents, developed a fully functional prototype, exhibited at VivaTech and Salon du Bourget, followed at 4-months pre-acceleration program at UC Berkeley, works with the top aerospace french industries and is in discussions with dozens of industrials in space, aerospace, rail and automotive industries like Airbus, Thales, Safran, Renault, PSA, ArianeGroup,etc. We are currently experiencing great traction and want to strongly accelerate the technological developments.

    Internship details:
    Start date: ASAP. Length of internship: 4 to 6 months / Location: Paris. The position will take place in Paris at the Agoranov incubator – near “Jardin du Luxembourg”. The internship may lead to a full-time position.

    You will be developing and improving our tracking algorithms (position precision, reliability, higher frame rate, etc. ) as well as delivering client projects.
    To achieve this goal you will :
    Test and optimize various methods based on Machine Learning
    Test and optimize camera settings for our use cases
    Meet with customers (several on-site/off-site meetings with our clients will be scheduled)
    Develop a state of the art mesh to point cloud registration algorithm
    Manage projects and technological developments for clients

    Skills we are looking for:
    Python / embedded firmware programmation (C++)
    SLAM and robotics knowledge (appreciated)
    Capacity to handle a good level of code quality and stability (appreciated)
